Meet the team
Colin Williams heads up the Galileo team in the UK. Colin is a seasoned renewable energy professional having been active in the wind development sector for more than two decades.
Having previously worked in key development roles with both Muirhall Energy and Wind Prospect, Colin directly managed the development of 7 wind farms through to commercial operations and oversaw a broader development portfolio totalling 400 MW. Colin is a Chartered Scientist and a Member of the Energy Institute.
Claire Dowse is a land and development professional with 20 years’ experience and has a proven track record in land acquisition and delivering planning consents. She is a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
Claire joined Galileo from Balfour Beatty Homes, where her role as Head of Land and Planning was to identify and secure development sites and the associated permits.
She has also project managed multiple large scale wind farm Environmental Impact Assessments and major planning applications during her time with leading UK consultancies Arcus and Turley.
Laura Petrie has over 10 years’ experience in the industry, with previous roles as construction project manager at Enercon, and development project manager at a Scottish developer.
She has been responsible for the construction of over 25 wind farms in the UK, with specific experience in the following areas: remote island; peatland environments; foundation and road construction; turbine installation through to grid code compliance; sites with delayed grid requiring generator-based commissioning and sites with special access requirements.
Laura has been selected for the 2022 cohort of the Renewable UK Shadow board.
Jason Morin is an experienced Project Manager with 8 years’ experience. He has project managed a significant number of consented projects through the planning process, both at Local Council level, and with the Scottish Government under Section 36.
Additionally, he has managed successful Planning Appeals with the Scottish Government, including the quickest ever Scottish windfarm appeal decision which was successfully appealed in less than 80 days. Jason won the Communicator Award at the 2017 Scottish Young Professionals Green Energy Awards.
Ross Jamison is a Project Manager with over 6 years’ planning and development experience and is a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
Ross has recently been responsible for the initiation of 300MW development on crofted land on the Isle of Skye where he specialised in liaising with the three Common Grazing Committees as well as numerous individual crofters.
Ross has also progressed tip height and lifetime extension consents at various projects in Scotland and has experience of implementing peatland restoration programmes and wind measurement campaigns.
Rob has 15 years experience in the renewable energy industry, initially developing UK wind farm projects for Ecotricty and Wind Prospect.
Latterly Rob managed a development team based in Poland managing a development portfolio of over 300MW in Eastern Europe. In 2010 Rob set up his own development business, predominantly specialising in medium scale Feed in Tariff projects.
The company developed, financed, constructed and now owns and operates a number of renewable energy assets. This has given Rob significant business development skills as well as knowledge of the whole project development life cycle.
Joe started in the renewable energy sector in 2007, initially working in the Technical Team at Ecotricity before moving to Wind Prospect in a project management role progressing their onshore wind portfolio.
In 2010 Joe founded One Wind Renewables, a development and consultancy company specialising in UK onshore renewable projects with a focus on Feed-in-Tariff developments. One Wind Renewables now owns and operates a number of wind turbine generator assets that are looked after through their in-house asset management team.
Joe has a wide breadth of understanding of the whole sector from development and planning through to project finance and business development.
Leslie has over 30 years’ experience in consultancy specialising in Environmental Impact Assessment.
Leslie is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and is a Registered Principal EIA Practitioner. Leslie has experience in project management and co-ordination of multi-disciplinary teams and Environmental Impact Assessment studies.
Leslie has led feasibility studies, stakeholder and public consultation and preparation of planning applications for a number of onshore wind and solar projects.
